I found your website to be very poor in the area of finding a grave in your cemetery. I drove all the way from Missouri to find a grave that I know the location of (GD 062 B 004) and could not find it because you do not have a directory of where graves are located in the cemetery. There was also no way to call someone for help. In this day and age of people trying to find their "roots" I would think that a cemetery of your size would have this information readily available.

  • Great and caring staff! Everyone was very friendly and patient. Could not ask for a better experience considering the situation. Thank you so much for helping our family in such a difficult time.

I was absolutely shocked at how dishonest the staff is at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home on Airport Rd in Colorado Springs! When you lose someone you love, you hope to be treated (at least fairly) and NOT scammed while actually going through the grieving process. This review is not about money, we ended up going somewhere else. This review is about honesty and this business has NONE. From the start, they never actually delivered on what they promised... their prices changed, their policies changed...all based on what they could charge. If we asked a direct question, they avoided a direct...or honest answer. When we went to confirm our arrangements, nothing was as they said it would be to begin with...and the director couldn't even remember what he actually told us. These people have a COMPLETE LACK OF EMPATHY. I would not recommend this experience to anyone. It actually makes me sick to think about it. I very rarely take the time to write a review but I strongly felt that others should be made aware when it comes to something so personal and tragic as burying a loved one.

Supposedly there are a lot of people here. I live next door and have never seen any of them. It's like they live underground or something...

This review was sent to me from my father who gave me permission to post it:

    Not Happy!

    Will not recommend your services!

    No Dignity.

Picked up my wife as if was cargo at Hospice with another deceased.

Name wrong on website a number of times

Told had to pay all of bill at once---shocking to hear if I couldn’t pay what would I do with my wife’s r remains?

No clear description of packages for cremation and no mention of them or associated discounts. I would have done things differently.

No military discounts or available to me since I was told I brought items “A La Carte”.

No mention or discussion of veteran’s benefits.

No price list shown for URNs or Keepsakes.

No price list review and had me initial contract that I had seen the price list, but I asked for it and only provided after I had initial---very miss-leading.

Told I brought items A La Carte---cold phrase to use.

I would like a more detail list of the associated prices.

Keepsakes and Death Certificates not available and we met 21 December 2015.

Shuffled from one funeral director to another.

Could have arranged to meet late Saturday (19 December) or Sunday (20 December).

Found out I was going to view my wife in hallway at Colorado Springs Mortuary---I asked for a separate room. The room was basically in an office area.

Colorado Springs Mortuary was located in an Industrial Warehouse Area more akin to being a Ghetto.

The funeral director didn’t have the decency to show up in more respectful attire, but showed up to get me to sign an ID Form (I would like a copy of that).

I do not feel that my wife was treated with the respect and dignity she deserved as she lived.

This was like buying a car and once the salesperson was done with you and you signed the contract you were discarded---they had your money.

I walked away depressed, disappointed in not properly taking care of my wife.

I feel that my grief was a vulnerability which was taken advantage of.

Respect and Dignity must be the One Ethic that should be followed and it was lacking.
