  • We first attended Rock Family Church on Easter Sunday. We had many needs and wanted to find a church to simply go put a tithe in at. The pastor's sermon was so meaningful and touching to my husband and I, that we have been attended since (3 months+ at the time of this writing). After reading a few reviews on here about how they didn't teach from the Bible, we were initially concerned and almost didn't go. Upon seeing the handout for the sermon (we are each handed these at the doors prior to entering the chapel where the worship/sermon takes place), I could see how wrong the reviews were. Each and every single point the pastor preached on was either prefaced or followed with scripture to support what he wanted to teach us. Every single Sunday's sermon has been this way. If anyone is hesitant to check this place out, I would urge you to watch any one of his sermons online to see it is 100% bible-based teaching. He doesn't push a personal agenda, he doesn't push tithing and manipulate the church into emptying their wallets. He is genuine man of God that wants to teach and guide his flock into having a personal relationship with God. Lastly, at the end of every service he furthermore enables the congregation to be fishers of men by encouraging each of us to pray for those who want to surrender their lives to the Lord that day. It helps take us out of our comfort zone and lets us spread the word in a way that is far more exponential than one man (the pastor) doing it all, all the time.

  • Welcoming and comfortable. Very life relevant message, engaging even for our tween & teen children. While family loved it. Music was wonderful.

  • ☆ ☆ ☆

The worship was nice, but the pastor's overuse of anecdotes rather than actual (contextual) teaching or the word, the lingering feeling that people were talking behind my back, the ever so slight confirmation that people were talking behind my back, and oddly hostile nature of the church just aren't for me. Side note; when I say hostile, I don't mean "REPENT OR GO TO HELL" hostile, I mean "Jesus loves me and he won't mind if I stab you" hostile, so do with that what you will. Also, Children's ministry is also pretty dang good. Those two things are worth it. Kid tested, mother approved.

Another good side note; be gentle there, unless they say they hate a gentle nature, then panic.

  • Rock family may be a bigger church but you still get the feel of a small church where everyone talks to you they take the time to get to know you. Pastor Dean is the most wonderful pastor I've had the pleasure of knowing. We have been struggling with the idea of moving out of state and one of the biggest struggles is we wouldn't have our church or the wonderful people we have got to know who have made a effort to get to know us. I recommend everyone give us a chance because after you come to rock family a couple of times you won't want to call any other church home.

  • Great, family friendly church. Service is short and had lots of impact. I would definitely recommend this church
