  • I love RMC, Ive been attending for upwards of 10 years. For those that have complaints about how they need more bodies for ministries...I would recommend volunteering.

  • Whoever complains about this church is most likely in sin and Pastor Eric called them out on it...some of those one star reviews just disappoint me! Eric is a wonderful teacher and the staffs always been really nice to my husband and me. Not to mention the nice people who work at Awanas with my children. Loved this church ever since we moved here. Please don't listen to all that negativity because it's obvious why there's so few one-stars and so so many many five stars!!

I have been attending Rocky Mountain Calvary since 2002. I absolutely love the sermons that are delivered by the pastoral staff. I have been through hell and after a family suicide the men's ministry pastor was there to pray with me and even delivered the funeral service which was a great comfort. However, that is as far as I can go. I was finally blessed by God with a wonderful woman in my life and got engaged last year. After taking the winter to work out details, we started our process of TRYING to get the necessary premarital counseling for the church to marry us in February. Over 2 months went by of us waiting, and contacting the church and leaving messages and waiting more. After 2 months we finally heard back and the excuse given was "sorry for the delay i've been having computer troubles". At that point we were e-mailed the forms to fill out to start the pre-marital counseling. Finally we felt the ball was rolling. Then after handing in the paperwork it took WEEKS and we still hadn't heard from the church about setting up a time for our pre-screening process.
We then contacted the church, another week or so and finally got a pre-screen appointment that was 2 weeks out. A family emergency ( a death) arose and we had to cancel that appointment. After our return we attempted to reschedule.. that took almost 3 weeks before we heard back. At which point it was another 2 weeks before we could be seen. After being seen for our pre-screen, we were scheduled in for a second pre-screen. After the second pre-screen, we were told the church would call us the following week with who we were assigned to for pre-marital counseling and to be scheduled to start the process. After almost 2 months we started to contact the church. When my fiancé called she kept leaving messages. After a week she would finally hear back and be promised a call. After another week she would call and then the same thing...a week wait and then another excuse. My fiancé talked to teachers she works with, as she's a teacher, and people and indicated they had given up and went elsewhere for their pre-marital counseling.
At this point we are frustrated and getting no where. If you are looking for a church to deliver God's word to you and your children, then I HIGHLY recommend this church. The pastoral staff and children's ministry staff have done great by me and my fiancé and her kids. However, if you are looking to get pre-marital counseling or are a family in crisis I would have to say you need to be prepared for a long drawn out wait or look at another church better equipped to handle that need. The lack of follow through, lack of returning phone calls, the excuses, and the lack of readily available counseling (pre-marital or otherwise) are why I'm giving this review a one start. Which I hate doing to a church where I love the church services and have been attending for over a decade.

  • I like this church because it is very similar to the church I attended in Texas. It's space is very open. There are three service days. There's worship, prayer, and service related to real life but still taken from the Bible. Wednesday is a different type of service from weekends, both for kids and adults. The weekend services are supposed to be the same as children's so that families can talk about the same message that day, together. I have children in all parts of children's ministry and like them all. There is communion, but it's not forced and doesn't leave alienation. There are bibles in case you forgot yours or don't have one. The people are human and most have been friendly. There's a bookstore, information desks, seating outside the auditorium. Check-in is through computer for children, so it's fast and easy. There is the availability of watching sermons online. ASL is available, but only on Saturday evenings. This is not something I need but am pleased they offer for those who do. Ample parking. On and on...
